Coast Salish Peoples

The Coast Salish are a group of over 40 Indigenous tribes located along the Pacific Northwest. Though each nation is different, with their own languages, cultural practices, and histories, they have strong ties with one another. Their knowledge and culture has historically been passed down through oral stories. However, since the start of colonization, much of this has been lost. Below, we present artistic expressions of the Coast Salish peoples.
